The show was wonderful! I don’t think either of us knew how delighted and moved we’d be after the show. The actors were amazing.

I really enjoyed Vigil. I was afraid I wasn’t going to get to see it. I was surprised at how funny the piece is. Malcolm was naturally funny at the beginning and grew to hilarious by the end. I’m sure everyone in the audience could relate to his character’s life in some way so his non-funny moments worked. He’s one of the few contemporary TV and film actors that work well on stage. Helen Stenborg was great, too. Her expressions were clear and funny with sass.

I was so thrilled with your production of Vigil last week–my friend and I were enthralled with both of the characters, and the constant surprises in the play. The audience loved it–

The Reviews Are In
Read what the Critics had to saw about VIGIL!
“Canadian scribe Morris Panych has written a funny play that makes you want to cry. Under Stephen DiMenna’s shrewd helming, Malcolm Gets and Helen Stenborg turn in sterling performances. Comic on the surface, heartbreaking at the core. This little number could have ‘em in stitches crying.”
-Variety
“Wise, funny and beautifully written! Malcolm Gets gives a wonderfully energetic and hilarious performance!”
-The New Yorker
“Helen Stenborg radiates a warmth – a small, but steady fire!”
-The New York Times
“Deliciously mischievous!”
-Time Out NY
“A jagged jewel of a play! Acerbically funny and sneakily affecting.”
